The Role

We're looking for a skilled and curious Mechanical & Test Engineer to join our team. In this role, you'll bridge design and validation, developing mechanical systems and ensuring their performance through rigorous testing. You'll work on products that demand precision, creativity, and reliability, collaborating across disciplines to bring high-quality solutions to life.

What You'll Do

  • Design, develop, and refine mechanical components and assemblies from concept through production
  • Plan and execute test strategies to validate performance, durability, and safety
  • Build and maintain test fixtures, setups, and instrumentation
  • Analyze test data, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including electrical, manufacturing, and quality engineering
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and drive root cause analysis
  • Contribute to continuous improvement in both product design and test processes
  • Document designs, test procedures, and results with clarity and precision

What You Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 3--6 years of experience in mechanical design and/or testing
  • Proficiency with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, or similar)
  • Hands-on experience with testing methods, data acquisition, and analysis
  • Technical writing experience and the ability to author test plans/procedures and reports
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to balance analytical thinking with practical, hands-on work
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills
  • Must be U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance

     

Nice to Have

  • Experience with automated testing or scripting (Python, MATLAB, etc.)
  • Familiarity with industry standards and validation protocols
  • Background in prototyping, fabrication, or lab environments
