Job Title: Shipping and Receiving Associate
Job Description
The Shipping and Receiving Associate plays a key role in ensuring that merchandise is accurately received, organized, and prepared for shipment. This position involves following pick sheets, handling inbound and outbound materials with precision, and maintaining high standards of accuracy and productivity in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
Follow pick sheets to accurately select and set up merchandise for shipping.
Count, verify, and accurately receive merchandise from trucks and containers.
Sort, prepare, and organize merchandise for storage in the warehouse.
Maintain high order accuracy when picking and packing orders.
Update purchasing or relevant internal teams on received goods in a timely and accurate manner.
Work effectively under time constraints while meeting productivity, accuracy, and service standards.
Ensure all receiving, sorting, and documentation activities are completed with high precision.
Perform data entry related to shipping, receiving, and inventory control.
Handle materials safely and efficiently, including moving, staging, and organizing products.
Support overall shipping and receiving operations as needed to meet team and company goals.
Essential Skills
Experience in shipping and receiving operations.
Proficiency in inventory control processes.
Ability to accurately perform picking and order picking tasks.
Skill in packing and preparing orders for shipment.
Experience with receiving procedures, including counting and verifying merchandise.
Ability to use basic data entry tools and systems for tracking inventory and orders.
Material handling experience in a warehouse environment.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy-focused work habits.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience operating a forklift or similar warehouse equipment.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse setting.
Strong organizational skills for sorting and staging merchandise.
Willingness to learn and train in a variety of different warehouse positions.
Reliability and commitment to maintaining high productivity and service standards.

Work Environment
This role is based in a warehouse environment that is non-climate controlled, so temperatures may vary with the seasons. The work involves regular material handling, including moving, staging, and organizing merchandise. You will work around typical warehouse equipment and systems used for shipping, receiving, and inventory control, and you should be comfortable working on your feet and performing physical tasks throughout the shift.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lawrenceville, GA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr.
