Aerotek Machine Operator in Lawrence, Kansas

Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

Operate and maintain roll forming equipment to produce high‑quality garage door panels and components while following safety, quality, and production standards.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot machines

  • Follow run sheets and adjust widths, gauges, and cutoff dies as needed

  • Perform quality inspections and complete required documentation

  • Maintain material flow and efficient production

  • Identify and report quality or maintenance issues

  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area

  • Lift and handle panels up to 45 lbs (team lift heavier items)

  • Use computers, scanners, and measurement tools

  • Assist with training and other production tasks as needed

Qualifications

  • 1–3 years manufacturing or machine operation experience (steel preferred)

  • Ability to read blueprints and run sheets

  • Experience with quality checks and measurement tools

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

  • Ability to stand for full shifts, perform repetitive tasks, and work in noisy, hot environments

  • Basic computer skills

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Lawrence, KS.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $42120.00 - $45240.00/yr.

Benefits include Medical/Dental/Vision, Paid Time Off, Paid Holidays from day one, tuition reimbursement, and a 401k plan (with an automatic 3% company contribution, regardless of your contribution after your first year of employment) among others.

This is a fully onsite position in Lawrence,KS.
