As a Custodial Worker WG-3566-2, your typical work assignments may include the following under supervision:
- Performs comprehensive cleaning of classrooms, education laboratories, computer rooms, offices, hallways, dormitory/residential, and restroom facilities, etc.
- Cleans and sanitizes restrooms and replenishes supplies, cleans spills, cleans drinking fountains, mirrors, tables, walls, fixtures, blinds, light fixtures, etc.
- Empties trash cans and relines cans with liners.
- Sweeps, mops, steam cleans, waxes, polishes, and buffs floors.
- Vacuums and shampoos carpets and rugs.
- Keeps all buildings, parking lots, and surrounding areas clean of all debris and litter.
- Ensures that appropriate and necessary levels of inventory are on hand at assigned areas, orders necessary supplies and materials, and maintains accurate records of received and distributed items.
- May lift and move objects weighing about 40 pounds (18 kilograms), and occasionally objects weighing over 50 pounds (23 kilograms).
