Work Schedule:
One day remote (Monday) and 4 days on site or at a project site (lakes and streams in Kansas) working 8-5.

Required Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED and four years of related experience OR bachelor's degree in a related field.
Two years of experience collecting water and sediment samples from lakes or reservoirs.
Six (6) months of experience working with on-lake buoys and their data.
Six (6) months of experience working with Microsoft Excel, Word, and R studio.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with remote water quality sensors and equipment as evidenced in application materials.
Experience sampling Midwestern US reservoirs as evidenced in application materials.
Experience with real-time water quality buoys and monitoring.
Position Overview:
The Harris research group is seeking an Assistant Researcher to assist with collecting samples for water quality assessment in Kansas lakes with limnology equipment and in-lake sensors. The Assistant Researcher may also assist with laboratory analyses of water quality samples, such as collecting and analyzing harmful algal bloom (HAB) data.
