: - Officiates various sporting events, games, and competitions to maintain standards of play.
- Ensures game rules are observed. - Signals participants and other officials to make them aware of infractions and to regulate play. - Communicates effectively with recreation staff, coaches, and participants. - Maintains a safe playing environment.: - Must be eighteen (18) years of age.
- Exceptions to the minimum age are provided if the candidate has a Youth Employment Certification from the NC Department of Labor. - Minors may be employed on a Part-Time, Seasonal, or Intern basis.
