Summary – Lead Process Controls Engineer (J3 Expansion Project)
Our client fosters a collaborative and innovative work environment and is seeking a Lead Process Controls Engineer for the J3 Expansion Project. This role acts as the primary technical authority for all process control and functional safety matters.
Key Qualifications:
Degree in Chemical or Automation Engineering
20+ years’ experience in LNG onshore or terminal facilities
Strong knowledge of international and Singapore codes and standards
Expertise in PID, feedback, and advanced control strategies
Proven functional safety experience (SIS, SIF, SIL)
Skilled in Unisim, HYSYS, or MATLAB
Extensive EPC detailed engineering and LNG operations/maintenance experience
Key Responsibilities:
Lead all process control discipline activities for the project
Represent the company on all control and safety system matters
Review and approve EPC deliverables (logic diagrams, narratives, SIS validation, interface packages)
Ensure correct design and integration of control logic, shutdown, alarm, and safeguarding systems
Validate calculations, cause‑and‑effect matrices, and SIL compliance
Participate in safety workshops and close out findings
Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company specifications
