ManpowerGroup AVP, Core Banking Systems in Laurel, Maryland

Our client, a leading financial services organization, is seeking an Assistant Vice President of Core Banking Systems to join their team. As an AVP of Core Banking Systems, you will be part of the Business Systems Department supporting the IT and Business Operations teams. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a balanced understanding of IT and business processes, and the ability to manage technical and non-technical stakeholders effectively, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: AVP of Core Banking Systems

Location: Laurel, Maryland

Pay Range: $200k depending on years of experience

What's the Job?

  • Lead and oversee the daily operations of the Business Systems Department supporting core banking and related applications.

  • Manage system implementations, application management, and business process integration to optimize operational efficiency.

  • Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships to ensure system performance and value maximization.

  • Guide and develop a team of technical and business professionals to meet organizational goals.

  • Analyze and improve business workflows by leveraging existing software features and recommending new solutions.

What's Needed?

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Systems or a related field with at least 5 years of relevant experience.

  • Proven experience managing complex projects and supervising technical teams.

  • Extensive knowledge of core banking systems, especially Fiserv or DNA, and associated staff management.

  • Strong understanding of database applications, enterprise applications, and security strategies.

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
