Description
This position is primarily responsible for general building and grounds maintenance, facility alarms, vehicle shuttling, snow removal, recycling, etc.
Essential Functions:
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Professionally communicate and coordinate all company outsourced maintenance projects covering multiple locations.
- Participate in emergency drills and environmental safety activities, as requested.
- Serve as initial point of contact for facility alarm response after hours.
- Communicate with all outside vendors regarding services and maintenance supply order needs.
- Attend and participate in all warehouse trainings regarding safety or general information.
- Perform all maintenance duties in buildings and/or on surrounding properties to include, but not limited to, light fixtures, plumbing, painting, minor HVAC, etc.
- Must be able to work indoors in a warehouse environment which is subject to temperature changes not easily controlled by heating or air conditioning.
- Communicate effectively in reading, writing, and speaking in the English language
- Must be able to stand and/or walk for long periods of time and maneuver effectively around warehouse/stores and warehouse/stores property.
- Must be able to climb, bend, kneel, squat, reach, and/or twist frequently.
- Must be able to lift heavy furniture up to 500 lbs. safely and with assistance while moving merchandise in various positions without causing damage to merchandise or property.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- Valid drivers license and ability to pass initial and quarterly MVRs.
- Ability to pass a DOT physical exam every two years.
