Job Description
This role focuses on the installation, repair, and refurbishment of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and structural systems in modular and portable buildings. You will work with a variety of hand and power tools, perform both rough and finish work, and ensure that modular units are safe, functional, and ready to be rented and used in the field.
Responsibilities
Perform repairs and refurbishment of modular buildings, containers, and modular office trailers to prepare them for rental.
Conduct framing and finish carpentry tasks, including measuring, cutting, and installing materials such as baseboards and doors.
Handle electrical repairs and service work in modular units in accordance with established standards and procedures.
Perform flooring-related tasks, including tearing out carpets and preparing surfaces for new flooring.
Carry out plumbing installation, troubleshooting, and repair within modular buildings.
Perform HVAC installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair, including working with AC units to ensure proper operation.
Use a wide range of hand and power tools safely and effectively for construction and maintenance tasks.
Read and interpret measurements accurately using a measuring tape to cut and fit materials precisely.
Clean and maintain floors using a polisher and ensure work areas remain organized and safe.
Support running gear repairs and other mechanical components associated with modular units.
Work overtime and weekends as needed to meet project timelines and operational demands.
Follow all safety guidelines while walking, standing, bending, stretching, lifting, and handling materials throughout the workday.
Essential Skills
Hands-on experience in HVAC, plumbing, and carpentry work.
Proficiency in using hand and power tools for construction, installation, and repair tasks.
Ability to read and use a measuring tape accurately.
Experience with electrical service and repair in a construction or maintenance setting.
Demonstrated troubleshooting and repair skills for HVAC, plumbing, and related building systems.
Construction and maintenance experience, particularly in modular or building environments.
Work Environment
You will work primarily in a yard and covered work areas where modular office units are repaired and refurbished for rental. The role involves frequent walking, standing, bending, and stretching, as well as the use of hands and fingers to hold, grasp, push, and lift materials and tools. You will regularly lift items up to 60 pounds. The position requires daily use of hand and power tools, floor polishers, and other construction equipment while working on electrical, HVAC, plumbing, flooring, and carpentry tasks.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lathrop, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
