Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a SUPPLY SYSTEMS ANALYST, Position Description Number T5268000 and is part of the UNITED STATES PROPERTY AND FISCAL OFFICE, National Guard. This vacancy does not meet the criteria for appointment of annuitants. Veterans' preference does not apply to this vacancy due to internal merit promotion. THIS IS LOCATED IN WATERVLIET, NY. Responsibilities As a SUPPLY SYSTEMS ANALYST (GS-2003-11) you will perform comprehensive analysis of logistical procedures, services, directives, and the operation of the division. The incumbent compiles, correlates, and submits various reports on logistical functions and provides technical guidance and policy direction for the division. Acts in behalf of the Supply Management Officer when required. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications GENERAL EXPERIENCE: Experience, education, or training which has provided the applicant with a general knowledge of one or more aspects of the supply field. Experience using computer and automation systems. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 1-year specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade. Experience supervising and/or managing supply personnel and a variety of supply functions. Knowledge on the entire inventory management supply system. Experience coordinating with other organizations on complex and controversial supply issues. Experience providing advice and guidance on supply regulations to upper levels of management regarding supply functions. Education Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree You must provide a copy of Official Transcripts as documentation to support your educational claims. This position is designated as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparation for, or in response to, a state emergency or disaster declaration. This designation will not exceed 14 calendar days per year unless otherwise approved in advance by the TAG.
