Robert Half Senior Manager - Gaming Accounting in Las Vegas, Nevada

Description We are looking for an experienced and driven Senior Manager of Gaming Accounting to join our team in Las Vegas, Nevada. In this role, you will oversee all financial functions related to casino and gaming operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. As a key leader, you will work closely with senior leadership to maintain fiscal integrity and regulatory adherence while driving operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and guidance to the Casino Finance and Accounting teams, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.

• Oversee daily financial operations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and adherence to company policies.

• Manage the preparation and review of financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements, ensuring compliance with industry standards.

• Recruit, mentor, and develop team members to cultivate a high-performance culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement.

• Ensure compliance with Nevada Gaming Control Board standards and other applicable regulatory guidelines.

• Prepare and review gaming-related regulatory reports, including Suspicious Activity Reports for Casinos (SARCs).

• File required taxes, license fees, and financial statements with relevant regulatory agencies.

• Supervise month-end and year-end close processes for all revenue streams, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.

• Serve as a strategic financial advisor to senior leadership, providing data-driven insights to support business decisions.

• Coordinate and support both internal and external audits, ensuring accurate records and prompt resolution of findings. Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, preferably within the gaming or hospitality industry.

• Strong knowledge of month-end close processes, general ledger management, and financial reporting.

• Experience with regulatory compliance, including Nevada Gaming Control Board Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS) and Title 31 requirements.

• Proficiency in preparing and reviewing financial statements, audits, and account reconciliations.

• Exceptional leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and develop high-performing teams.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with stakeholders.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
