Robert Half Senior Accountant in Las Vegas, Nevada

Description We are looking for a skilled Senior Accountant to join a global gaming service provider in Las Vegas, Nevada. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in month-end closing processes, account reconciliations, and financial analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee month-end close activities, including preparing and reviewing journal entries and general ledger analyses.

• Perform detailed balance sheet account reconciliations and provide monthly analysis to ensure accuracy.

• Develop and maintain spreadsheet reports for financial analysis and data interpretation.

• Assist in the preparation and coordination of internal and external audit requests.

• Ensure compliance with Gaming Control Board, federal regulations, and company policies during all financial activities.

• Collaborate with accounting management on ad-hoc projects, month-end, and year-end reporting tasks.

• Research and resolve complex business matters with accounting implications in a timely manner.

• Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP to manage financial records effectively.

• Support the continuous improvement of accounting processes and workflows. Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA certification preferred.

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an accountant, with at least 2 years of strong NetSuite experience (demonstrated proficiency in configuring NetSuite reports, etc.).

  • Experience with multi-entity environments and playing a strong role in month-end close required.

  • Experience with intercompany accounting and reconciliations required.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, functions, and automation techniques.

  • Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members globally, including non-financial stakeholders.

  • Experience with internal controls, audit procedures, and interacting with auditors.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
