Robert Half Senior Accountant in Las Vegas, Nevada
Description We are looking for a skilled Senior Accountant to join a global gaming service provider in Las Vegas, Nevada. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in month-end closing processes, account reconciliations, and financial analysis.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee month-end close activities, including preparing and reviewing journal entries and general ledger analyses.
• Perform detailed balance sheet account reconciliations and provide monthly analysis to ensure accuracy.
• Develop and maintain spreadsheet reports for financial analysis and data interpretation.
• Assist in the preparation and coordination of internal and external audit requests.
• Ensure compliance with Gaming Control Board, federal regulations, and company policies during all financial activities.
• Collaborate with accounting management on ad-hoc projects, month-end, and year-end reporting tasks.
• Research and resolve complex business matters with accounting implications in a timely manner.
• Utilize accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, or SAP to manage financial records effectively.
• Support the continuous improvement of accounting processes and workflows. Requirements
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA certification preferred.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience as an accountant, with at least 2 years of strong NetSuite experience (demonstrated proficiency in configuring NetSuite reports, etc.).
Experience with multi-entity environments and playing a strong role in month-end close required.
Experience with intercompany accounting and reconciliations required.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, functions, and automation techniques.
Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members globally, including non-financial stakeholders.
Experience with internal controls, audit procedures, and interacting with auditors.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
