Job Summary and Qualifications
You will participate as an active administrative member of the Nursing Management Team and assume 24-hour responsibility in directing and coordinating safe, efficient, and therapeutically effective nursing care for patients on the assigned units/ departments
You will identify and manage staff behaviors that are not in alignment with ICARE standards, regulations, hospital process, protocols, policies and procedures
You will demonstrate/ verbalize knowledge of, and comply with, hospital and Nursing Service mission, vision, goals, policies, protocols and procedures
You will delegate functions in compliance with hospital and nursing service policies, processes protocols and procedures and assist in helping to drive local and organizational wide initiative
What qualifications you will need:
Graduate of school of a nursing required
BSN Required
MSN within 3 years of hire, transfer, and/or currently in position required
Current unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Nevada required
Obtain National Certification within 1 year required
Current valid CPR issued American Heart Association required
Proficiency in general nursing procedures and skills in managing general medical/surgical patients require
Minimum of 2.5 years recent medical/ surgical experience, including at least 1 year of telemetry, intermediate care, or adult critical care required
