Job Summary:

Early Head Start (EHS) Site Coordinator manages daily center operations, supervises staff, and ensures compliance with federal performance standards for children aged 0-3 and their families. They act as a key liaison between staff and administration, safety, and high-quality educational programming.

  • Bilingual, with Spanish strongly preferred.

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with strong team‑building and collaboration skills.

  • High degree of initiative, adaptability, organization, and attention to detail.

  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and always demonstrate professionalism.

  • Leadership and sound judgment in coordinating daily site operations in partnership with the Center‑Based Manager.

  • Strong understanding of Head Start Performance Standards, licensing regulations, and organizational policies.

  • Ability to maintain a safe, clean, and well‑functioning environment, addressing safety or facility concerns promptly.

  • Skill in preparing and submitting health, safety, ERSEA, family services, and operational documentation accurately and on time.

  • Competence in managing site IT systems, arranging timely technical support, and ensuring smooth functionality.

  • Ability to organize staff schedules, ensure adequate coverage, arrange substitutes, and coordinate opening/closing responsibilities.

  • Capacity to build a positive, professional center climate and maintain strong working relationships with staff, recognizing each role’s importance.

  • Effective communication skills and ability to serve as a positive liaison with families.

  • Proficiency in maintaining accurate records, files, and program documentation using both digital and paper systems.

  • Strong organizational, time‑management, and problem‑solving abilities to support smooth daily operations.

  • Ability to support enrollment processes, attendance tracking procedures, and ERSEA-related documentation needs.

  • Competence in coordinating emergency procedures, safety drills, and immediate safety responses.

  • Skill in managing supplies, inventory, purchasing, and resource stewardship.

  • Collaborative approach to working with center staff and cross‑functional teams to ensure cohesive service delivery.

    Job Requirements:

  • Minimum associate's degree in early childhood education, or related field.
