DeBerard Cattle Company LLC Ranch Hand in Laramie, Wyoming
Ranch Hand, DeBerard Cattle -- Laramie, WY: Perform any combination of the following tasks required for the ranch to operate including equipment operation and maintenance, ranch work, crop production, livestock husbandry and showing livestock. General ranch work, irrigation, crop production and livestock production including all irrigation work for the ranch (irrigating hay meadows and other grasslands, water diversions, and operating sprinkler systems); operating heavy equipment (excavators, loaders, skid loaders, rollers, etc.); operating ranch equipment including tractors, swathers, rakes, balers, feed wagons, implements, off road vehicles, and manual labor; applying fertilizer and chemicals to ranch hay meadows and grounds; planting, cultivating, irrigating and harvesting crops; operating and driving water trucks and pumps; maintaining, adjusting and repairing ranch equipment, trucks, tools, etc.; loading and unloading trucks and trailers; moving and stacking hay bales and sacks of grain; maintaining ranch structures, facilities, and grounds and maintaining and building fence; ensuring livestock have access to clean water and feed, including breaking ice on frozen water sources; using proper animal husbandry skills to ensure health and well being of livestock including health monitoring, pregnancy checks, calving (including night checks), tagging, applying/giving medications, castration, vaccinations, etc.; cleaning and disinfecting corrals, pens and handling facilities. Requires ability to saddle, ride and care for horses; ability to rope livestock; ability to fit cattle; and ability to halter, walk, wash, dry, fit clip, and show livestock. Must have 24 months of experience in an occupation wherein one (1) operated and maintained heavy equipment; (2) drove trucks and trailers; and (3) cared for livestock.
