Mold Masters Company Robot Maintenance Technician in Lapeer, Michigan
Highly skilled and motivated Manuracturing Robot Technician to support our automotive production lines. Responsible for the installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of industrial robotic systems ensuring maximum uptime, product quality and operational efficiency in a fast paced manufacturing enviornment.
Minimum of 2 years of hands-on-experience in robotic maintenance in an automotive manufacturing setting.
Ideally an associate's degree or technical diploma in Robotics, Mechatornics, Industial Automation, or related field.
Proficient in reading electrical and mechanical schematics, robotic programming interfaces and PLC ladder logic.
Familiar with common automotive robotic appliations including spot welding, arc welding, vision-guided systems and conveyor-based automation.
Certification or factory training in FANUC, KUKA, ABB, or Yaskawa systems.
Experience with safety-rated robotic systems and compliance with ANSI/RIA standards.
Knowledge of IATF 1694, lean manufacturing principles and automotive productin best practices.
1. Install, test and commission robotic systems (spot weld and assemble robots) in an automotive production line.
2. Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on robots and end of arm tooling.
3. Troubleshoot robotic issues related to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic or programming faults.
4. Monitor robotic performance and make programming adjustments to improve cycle times, repeatability and throughput.
5. Assist with the integration of new robots or upgrades to improve process efficiency.
6. Coordianate with maintenance, production and engineering teams to minimize downtime.
7. Document all maintenace activities and maintain records in the Computerized Maintenace Management System (CMMS)
8. Follow all automotive industry safey standards and lockout/tagout procedures.
9. Know and follow all IATF- 106949 and ISO-14001 policies and procedures.
