Aerotek Warehouse Worker in Lansing, Michigan

Job Title: Warehouse Worker Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated warehouse worker for an onsite technician role. The position operates on the 1st shift from 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, with a 30-minute unpaid lunch. The workweek is Monday to Friday, with two Saturdays on and one Saturday off for the remainder of the year. During weeks when Saturday work is required, an alternate day off will be provided, or if needed Monday through Saturday, workers will be compensated accordingly.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct waste and trash pickups throughout the customer's facility, handling materials like cardboard, plastic, and metal scraps.

  • Operate mobile equipment safely and efficiently.

  • Move and empty trash gondolas within the plant.

Essential Skills

  • Experience in packing, production, picking, packaging, material handling, assembly, shipping, and receiving.

  • Ability to handle hazardous materials with care.

  • Experience with forklift operation (training available if necessary).

  • Completion of OSHA 40 training (provided if necessary).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to work in a busy and noisy environment.

  • Safety boots (steel-toe or composite) required; other PPE will be provided.

  • Ability to pass background checks, drug screenings, and physical examinations.

Work Environment

The position is based at a large facility, which is typically busy and noisy. Safety is a priority, and all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided, except for safety boots.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lansing, MI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.50/hr.
