The Opportunity
Ally is partnering with [1] Salesforce to build a comprehensive Underwriting (UW) Command Center—a strategic, centralized tool within Salesforce that unifies caller identification, bidirectional texting, application data, and performance analytics.
As a Sr. Salesforce Business Analyst & Agile Product Owner, you will be the driving force behind this initiative. You will bridge the gap between Underwriting, Operations, and IT, implementing system enhancements that empower our Underwriters to resolve dealer inquiries with unparalleled speed and precision, facilitating true, data-driven dealer portfolio management. The Work Itself
- Strategic Implementation & Optimization: Lead the end-to-end implementation and ongoing enhancements of the UW Salesforce platform, transforming manual processes into automated, efficient workflows.
- Requirements Engineering: Collaborate with underwriting leaders and matrix partners to elicit, analyze, and document complex business requirements, translating them into technical user stories and acceptance criteria for Salesforce developers.
- Agile Project Management: Act as the Product Owner/Project Manager for the Underwriting Command Center, managing the product backlog, prioritizing work, and attending Agile ceremonies to deliver high-value capabilities iteratively.
- Data-Driven Insights & Analytics: Analyze underwriting outcomes, system usage metrics, and data gaps to make data-driven recommendations that improve process efficiency and portfolio performance.
- Stakeholder Management & Training: Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, communicating progress, facilitating UAT (User Acceptance Testing), and developing training materials to ensure high adoption rates.
- Technical Partnership: Act as the liaison between the business and IT/offshore teams to ensure technical solutions align with business objectives, providing technical mentorship to team members.
The Skills You Bring
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field
- 3+ years’ experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business related field, concentration in Business Administration or analytical science preferred.
- 3+ years’ experience as a Salesforce Business Analyst, Product Owner or similar system experience required.
- Technical Aptitude: Strong Salesforce configuration knowledge or Salesforce Administration certification
- Project Methodology: Demonstrated success leading projects using Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Extremely organized with strong time-management skills
- Analytical Mindset: Expert-level ability to identify process gaps, perform root cause analysis, and design innovative solutions
- Communication & Leadership: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Financial services or auto finance knowledge preferred.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, including ability to articulate complex problems in a simple manner
- General understanding of automotive industry

An individual's position in the range is determined by the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications. We review internal pay, the competitive market, and business environment prior to extending an offer.
