How you make an impact...

The Nuclear Services Manager is responsible for the leadership and management of a team of nuclear engineers and radiation control personnel. The Nuclear Services Manager develops and manages team and individual Key Performance Indications (KPIs), ensures succinct coordination, communication, and ultimate success with desired project outcomes and meeting company objectives.

What you need to succeed...

  • Bachelor's degree in nuclear engineering, health physics, or other related technical field or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years' of direct nuclear engineering/health physics experience in R&D or Production/Manufacturing environments
  • 8+ years' of progressive positions within nuclear engineering
  • 5+ years of supervisory experience including day-to-day activities of a team of 10 or more with demonstrated ability to build cohesive teams, establish career development tracks, and succession planning
  • Understands how to integrate into a new team/organization -- appreciates the history of current state, know how and when to make suggestions, as well as using just the right pace to reach the improved future state.
  • Understands your own communication and learning styles, can assess others' styles, and is able to find the right path to connect the two.
  • Develops and maintains good relationships, gains the confidence of others, and works effectively in a multidisciplinary matrix environment
  • Demonstrates strategic thinking with creative and excellent problem solving and decision-making skills with ability to critically interpret and use data to manage risk
  • Possesses a strong interest and ability to lead and develop staff and teams
  • Strong nuclear and mechanical aptitude
  • Understands Quality Systems and their successful implementation
  • Knowledge of applicable GMP and related pharmaceutical manufacturing regulations

     

Great to have...

Master's degree or PhD in Nuclear Engineering, Health Physics, or related technical field

12+ years of progressive positions in nuclear engineering

8+ years of supervisory experience including day-to-day activities of a team of 20+ with demonstrated ability to build cohesive teams, establish career development tracks, and succession planning

3+ years' leading teams in the R&D environment. Proven record of successful launch of product developments and success solving complex nuclear problems

3+ years' working within Quality Management Systems and design control processes in regulated industries such as Medical or Nuclear (DOE or NRC regulated)
