Smithers DT LLC Laboratory Technician, Distribution Testing in Lansing, Michigan
*SUMMARY: * Completes distribution testing projects for packaging by operating test equipment (vibration tables, impact machines, etc.) and driving a forklift. * ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: *• Utilizes test equipment to complete projects accurately. • Performs facility or equipment maintenance, repairs, restoration, and organization, as needed and required. • Captures and manages project and lab data activities using database. • Safely operates forklifts. • Leverages good documentation practices as required by project. • Other duties, as assigned.
*OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES: *• Ability to learn,?or experience with hands on laboratory testing. • Ability to learn,?or experience with a forklift. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Teams, Excel, Outlook). • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. • Mathematical aptitude to solve basic problems by leveraging practical and scientific logic.
*EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: *• High school diploma or general education degree (G.E.D.) is preferred. • Forklift experience is preferred.
