Job Title: Distribution Design Engineering IJob Description
This position is responsible for planning, engineering, and designing electric and gas distribution systems. The role involves determining the need, size, location, and timing of power delivery infrastructure development to balance economic, environmental, social, and regulatory constraints, along with reliability needs.
Responsibilities
Develop work packages for overhead, underground, and residential distribution systems.
Conduct field engineering for project requirements and identify conflicting utilities.
Perform engineering and design calculations.
Participate in post-construction reviews to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
Essential Skills
Basic knowledge and ability to apply principles, theories, and concepts in a narrow technical domain.
Capability to solve simple, routine technical problems by following established procedures and policies.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field or equivalent experience.
Less than 2 years of prior relevant experience.
Work Environment
The position involves day-to-day objectives with limited impact beyond the scope of own work area or project team. Work is conducted under supervision on less complex projects or assignments. The role requires basic communication with peers to explain facts, basic analysis, processes, and practices related to the area.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lansing, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $29.00/hr.
