CNC Machinist – Lathes & Mills | Multiple Openings | Lansing, MI Area

We’re partnering with multiple manufacturing employers in the Lansing area who are seeking experienced CNC Machinists to support precision machining operations across a variety of industries.These roles are ideal for machinists who are comfortable setting up, programming, and running CNC equipment—and who enjoy working closely with engineering and production teams.
What These Roles Typically Involve
Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills to produce precision components
Write, test, and modify CNC programs to meet part specifications
Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and design data
Select appropriate tooling, feeds, speeds, and cutting strategies
Perform in‑process quality checks using precision measuring tools
Complete quality and production documentation as required
Review programs, observe trial runs, and make adjustments as needed
Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and fellow machinists to improve processes
Skills & Experience Employers Are Seeking
5+ years of CNC machining experience on lathes and/or mills
Strong understanding of CNC controls and basic programming
Knowledge of metals, cutting tools, feeds, speeds, and depths of cut
Ability to apply shop math and GD&T
Proficiency using calipers, micrometers, and other inspection tools
Comfortable operating overhead cranes and forklifts (training may be provided)
Preferred (Varies by Opening)
Experience with Fanuc controls
Programming experience using Mastercam
Ability to write and edit G‑code and M‑code at the machine
Strong communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration
High school diploma or equivalent

This is a Permanent position based out of Lansing, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $49920.00 - $62400.00/yr.
Top 85% of benefits within the industry Eligible for benefits 1st of the month 2 floating holidays per year 401k match 100% up to 3% Eligible for yearly bonus (1.5% based on performance review)
