The Opportunity
This role is on a hybrid schedule , a few days in Detroit, MI office weekly with some remote work.
The Analyst will support the Advantage Finance and Accounting Release Management & Delivery team. The position will be responsible for testing of future Alfa releases, defects, deferred items, and future projects.
The Work Itself
- Gather accounting requirements and write accounting test cases
- Validation of accounting for defects, workarounds, and new requirements (reviewing test results to ensure system is behaving as expected)
- Collaborate as part of a team to resolve and troubleshoot issues
- Research general ledger transactions in Workday and various subsystems including ALFA
- Perform analyses using Excel, PowerBI, SQL and COGNOS
- Partner with Business Unit personnel to understand various auto finance transactions
- Document processes and findings
- Support and assist the Advantage Finance & Accounting team on various projects as needed
The Skills You Bring
Minimum Qualifications * 1 year of experience * High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Preferred Qualifications * 1+ year of Accounting or Finance experience * BS/BBA degree in Accounting/Finance * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Proficient MS Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.) * Cognos, PowerBI, and/or SQL experience * Auto Finance industry experience * Strong attention to detail balanced with knowing the right level necessary to deliver on requirements * Energetic and inquisitive, quick learner, takes initiative, team player and able to multi task * Communicate effectively, both written and verbal * Ability to organize data, perform independent analysis, provide and articulate explanations to management

An individual's position in the range is determined by the scope and responsibilities of the role, work experience, education, certification(s), training, and additional qualifications. We review internal pay, the competitive market, and business environment prior to extending an offer.
