Aerotek Quality Inspector in LANCASTER, Pennsylvania
Medical Device manufacturer in Lancaster, PA is looking for a Quality Inspector on 2nd shift (open to 3rd shift if that is preferred). Clean, climate controlled machine shop. Interviewing and starting candidates ASAP! Open to more entry level candidates that have the desire to learn and train in the role.
2nd shift: 3pm - 11pm Mon - Fri
3rd shift: 11pm - 7am Sun - Thurs
Pay Rate: $20/hr and up DOE
Job Description
The Quality Inspector ensures that finished medical devices and tools meet strict quality standards and customer specifications. This role uses precision measuring equipment, follows documented inspection methods, and works closely with manufacturing personnel to maintain high-quality output in a clean, climate-controlled machine shop environment. The position is available on 2nd or 3rd shift, with initial training provided on 1st or 2nd shift.
Responsibilities
Inspect finished medical devices and tools using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, thread plug gages, and thread ring gages.
Perform detailed visual inspections in accordance with customer requirements and applicable standards.
Accurately document inspection results, including all required features and measurements, and record data in the appropriate systems or forms.
Assist in preparing inspection documentation and developing accurate inspection methods for new and revised products.
Apply mathematical, geometric, and algebraic calculations to verify part dimensions and tolerances.
Handle and move parts and equipment safely, including lifting 25–50 lbs frequently
Essential Skills
Ability to read and write in English using proper punctuation and grammar.
Ideally 1–2 years of experience in quality control inspections, with willingness to consider and train a strong entry-level candidate.
Ability to read and interpret part drawings and specifications, or willingness to learn with training.
Hands-on experience using micrometers and calipers for precision measurement.
Working knowledge of mathematical, geometric, and algebraic calculations related to inspection and measurement.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Prior experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment (Preferred)
High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
Familiarity with CNC machining processes and machine operation. (Preferred)
Comfort working with a large variety of parts and configurations, including exposure to thousands of different part numbers.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
