Position Description:
The Wound Program at Lancaster General Health currently consists of the Outpatient Wound & Hyperbaric Center, management of inpatient wounds, consulting and rounding with the select nursing homes, and a satellite outpatient wound practice in Elizabethtown.
Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health is seeking a full-time Acute Care Nurse Practitioner to join their physician and APP hospital-based consult service. The Acute Care Nurse Practitioner is the first line for inpatient wound consults. APPs manage the consults within their scope of practice and selectively refer the patients to surgical specialist consultants.
There is a broad spectrum of wound entities available within Lancaster General Hospital. Since this is a new and evolving team within the Wound Program, this is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a passion for wound care to put his or her own unique stamp on the position.
Hours: Full-time; Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm. No weekends, holidays or on-call required.
Position Requirements:
Valid Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner license and Certificate of Prescriptive Authority in Pennsylvania.
Certification by ANCC or other qualifying agency in area of specialty required (Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification is required)
Valid Pennsylvania licensure as a Registered Nurse
Minimum one-year experience as a Nurse Practitioner is preferred but also open to considering new graduates.
