Job Title: Maintenance Technician Job Description
The Building Maintenance Assistant plays a crucial role in maintaining the functionality and appearance of office buildings, apartments, and grounds. This position involves both training and hands-on work across various maintenance disciplines, including general maintenance, plumbing, painting, carpentry, HVAC support, and electrical tasks. The role requires participation in an on-call rotation, ensuring prompt response to maintenance needs.
Responsibilities
Perform general building repairs, apartment turns, painting, and cleaning with a focus on enjoying painting tasks.
Maintain and repair plumbing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, faucets, drains, and disposals.
Replace bulbs, fixtures, ballasts, and exit lights throughout the buildings.
Assist with HVAC, boiler, and building system checks; report any issues to the supervisor.
Support HVAC maintenance tasks including filter changes, belt checks, coil cleaning, and thermostat adjustments.
Conduct minor carpentry work, wall and ceiling repairs, and interior painting.
Monitor work orders and complete tasks efficiently and safely.
Communicate professionally with tenants, vendors, and coworkers.
Travel between properties in Lancaster as needed, with mileage reimbursement provided.
Perform additional duties as required.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and maintenance.
Experience in mechanical repair and preventive maintenance.
Skills in HVAC support and painting.
Ability to perform drywall patching.

Work Environment
This position involves direct placement with a Monday-Friday schedule starting at 7 am, plus participation in an on-call rotation. The role requires travel between residential and commercial properties in Lancaster, with mileage reimbursement provided.

This is a Permanent position based out of Lancaster, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $52000.00/yr.
