Project Engineer – Civil Construction
We are working with a well-established civil construction organization seeking a Project Engineer to support field and project management operations. This role partners closely with Project Managers to coordinate planning, execution, and documentation across active projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Support submittal and Request for Information (RFI) processes
Assist with purchase orders and subcontractor coordination
Contribute to change order tracking and documentation
Interpret and apply project specifications, including local and regulatory requirements
Utilize construction and engineering software to analyze excavation quantities, material needs, and project requirements
Assist in planning and sequencing project activities for efficient execution
Qualifications:
Experience reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, maps, and scope documents
Familiarity with construction and project management software (e.g., Bid2Win, Bluebeam, Autodesk, Microsoft Office, MS Project)
Ability to support scheduling, logistics planning, and project coordination workflows
Exposure to cost tracking, productivity optimization, and problem resolution in a construction environment
Strong attention to detail with effective communication skills
Team-oriented with a proactive, self-driven approach
Education & Experience:
Associate's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience) preferred
Prior field or construction experience strongly preferred
