Conveyor Belt Technician and Fabricator (Experience Required – No Exceptions)

Location: Lakewood, WA 98499 (serving Lakewood & Tacoma areas)

Pay Rate: $21–$28/hr DOE

Schedule: Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Availability: Must be open to OT, weekends, holidays, and 24/7/365 on‑call emergency service

We are seeking experienced Conveyor Belt Technician and Fabricator to join our team in the Lakewood/Tacoma region. This role is essential for supporting customers across major industries—including food production, bottling, packaging, material handling, and pharmaceuticals.

Conveyor Belt Technician and Fabricator will be responsible for the fabrication, installation, servicing, and repair of lightweight conveyor belts both in-shop and at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fabrication & Installation: Construct, splice, and install lightweight conveyor belts based on customer specifications.

  • Field Service Work: Travel to customer facilities to perform installations, troubleshooting, belt repairs, and emergency service (multi-hour to multi-week assignments).

  • Maintenance & Diagnostics: Inspect conveyor systems, identify issues, and execute repairs to reduce downtime.

  • Safety & Equipment Operation: Operate tools, machinery, and forklifts safely while following all OSHA and company procedures.

  • Documentation: Complete accurate service reports, installation notes, measurements, and recommendations.

  • Customer Interaction: Communicate professionally with customers, assess inventory needs, and suggest improvements.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in conveyor belt fabrication, installation, servicing, or repair (candidates without prior conveyor belt experience cannot be considered)

· Belt installation, belt splicing, or belt servicing experience

  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience using hand tools, power tools, and tape measures

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work in tight spaces, and perform tasks at heights

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

  • High school diploma or GED

  • Willingness to work OT, weekends, holidays, and join the 24/7 on‑call rotation

Work Environment:

Shop: Moderate noise. Fast-paced fabrication environment

Field: Customer production plants, warehouses, bottling facilities, food manufacturing sites, and similar industrial settings

Pay Details: $21.00 to $28.00 per hour
