Lakewood Ranch is one of the fastest‑selling, most successful multi‑generational communities in the United States. We're looking for a professional, welcoming, and highly engaged Community Guide to serve as a trusted resource for prospective, new, and current residents.
The Community Guide plays a key role in the New Home Center and broader marketing efforts by delivering personalized, accurate, and engaging information that helps customers learn the exact information they need to be able to call Lakewood Ranch home.

WORK SCHEDULE:
Full‑time position; 5 days per week, including weekends (Must be able to work at least one weekend day, and days off to be determine on candidates' availability)
The New Home Center hours are:
Monday–Saturday: 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM
Sunday: 11:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Additional hours may be required for special events and outreach activities.
What You'll Do
Customer Experience & Communication
Serve as a warm, knowledgeable point of contact for customers in person, by phone, email, online chat, virtual meetings, and at community events
Listen closely to customer needs, preferences, and timing cues to deliver concise, relevant information
Share information about Lakewood Ranch lifestyles, villages, builders, amenities, activities, and differentiating features
Conduct engaging discussions and interactive screen presentations that simplify the home‑buying process
Provide thoughtful, personalized follow‑up communications that support customer decision‑making
Community & Builder Collaboration
Build strong working relationships with Builder Sales Representatives to maintain alignment and information flow
Visit villages regularly to stay current on development updates, sales activity, traffic trends, and site presentation
Share insights with internal teams and alert management to activities that impact the Lakewood Ranch customer experience
Represent Lakewood Ranch at outreach initiatives, partnerships, and community events
Teamwork & Operations
Work collaboratively with Community Guide team members to ensure consistent service and balanced workload coverage
Adapt to evolving processes, systems, and engagement channels
Actively support operational needs during downtime and contribute to projects as needed
Foster a positive, respectful, and supportive team environment
Data & Brand Stewardship
Accurately collect and record customer information and interactions in the CRM database
Stay up to date on community details, stats, dates, and offerings to ensure accuracy
Represent SMR and protect the Lakewood Ranch brand by following approved messaging, positioning, and marketing guidelines
Maintain neutrality and professionalism when working with builders and realtors
What We're Looking For
Exceptional interpersonal, listening, and customer service skills
Strong verbal and written communication abilities across multiple channels
High situational awareness and ability to remain calm and professional in a fast‑paced environment
Comfortable using CRM systems, virtual meeting platforms, and screen‑sharing technology
Ability to multitask and manage a high volume of communications
Organized, reliable, and proactive with time management
Neat, professional appearance
Team‑oriented and adaptable to change
WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position will primarily be based at the Lakewood Ranch New Home Center (NHC) on Main Street, a fully open space office environment. This position will be expected to spend time onsite, at events, at SMR HQ, in the field visiting builders and other Outreach partners.
