Responsibilities & Expectations:
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for all the tasks associated with the Project Manager role, but will oversee larger, more complex projects and take larger role in managing customer and vendor relationships.
- Receive customer RFQ's, Specifications, Requirements, Commercial Terms & Conditions.
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for required labor, material, logistics costs.
- Prepare and submit project proposals, Gantt charts, initial reports, RCFA, Final Reports.
- Coordinate and manage project witness and hold points.
- Set up and update projects in ACS.
- Creation of work plans in ACS.
- Lead the Contract Review Process.
- Develop project management plans to manage progress of projects and communicate timely updates with customers.
- Manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs.
- Communicate with and resolve customer concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Liaise between sales, engineering, and operations to ensure orders are executed to customer specifications. Report and escalate to management as needed.
- Manage the relationship with the customer and IPS Account/National Account Managers.
- Perform risk management tominimizeproject risks and required exceptions.
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
- Perform job closeout functions.
- Demonstrates leadership, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management.
- Contributes to organizational strategy
- Acts as a guide and mentor to less-senior personnel.
Qualifications and Competencies:
- Proven experience in Project Management
- Proficient with MS Office Suite (Projects, Excel, Word)
- Microsoft Projects and/or other scheduling & planning experience required
- Strong Customer Service & Conflict Management skills
- Critical attention to detail
- PMP certification or equivalent a plus
