A local apartment complex is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician to maintain the buildings HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems. Work hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Job Duties:
- *Complete a high volume of work orders including those for lived in units, made ready units, common areas, mechanical areas, exterior areas, etc. *
- Communicate daily with the maintenance superintendent and interface with third party vendors
- Clean the sidewalk, drive, parking lot, and grounds of debris, especially after trash removal
- Keep the superintendent informed on all building problems, emergency situations, maintenance issues, and resident concerns that need to be addressed
- Fix and prepare resident suites after move-out
- Participate in both move-in and move-out suite inspections with the leasing agent
- Interact with residents and staff, demonstrate a caring attitude toward residents, and respond to requests made by other staff via work order
- *Perform other duties as assigned *
Job Qualifications:
- Must have previous Building Maintenance experience
- Must be able to safely make electrical, plumbing, and HVAC repairs
- Must have the ability to interact with vendors, residents, and staff in a courteous and professional manner
- Must be detail-oriented and safety-conscious
- Must be reliable with a solid work history
Only candidates that can pass a background check and drug screen will be considered. There is the possibility of permanent hire for the right person and will be "on-call" rotation after hours between the staff.
