Encore Electric, Inc. Sr. IT Infrastructure Engineer in Lakewood, Colorado

OVERVIEW:
Work independently and alongside the IT department to design, maintain, support, and monitor the IT infrastructure for Encore’s offices and job sites.
Compensation for the Role: $120,000 - $150,000 depending of experience
PLEASE NOTE: this role is based full-time at our office in Lakewood, CO with some requirements for travel to other offices. No remote candidates will be accepted.

Specific Responsibilities:
Architect, supervise, and participate in the implementation of technologies and platforms supporting the data, security, and voice infrastructure.
Ensure availability of enterprise infrastructure that support internal employee business functions and external customer communications.
Troubleshoot and remediate 3rd and 4th level support issues impacting the operation of the corporate data and voice infrastructure.
Mentoring responsibilities
Serve as one of the primary points of contact for service providers and coordinate circuit design, provisioning, installation, and troubleshooting.
Document the design, operation, and troubleshooting of technology platforms and procedures.
Plan, design, implement, and continuously improve disaster recovery procedures
Maintain a good working knowledge of current infrastructure and future trends
Interact and coordinate with vendors, suppliers, distributors, and contract consultants
Maintain the necessary project plans and documentation for system builds and modifications
Monitor systems and identify performance issues proactively
Propose new IT services and solutions to the end users and the senior management team

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Microsoft Windows server and desktop operating systems
Microsoft Active Directory
Azure Active Directory
Microsoft Exchange Server
VMware ESXi and other virtualization technologies
Fortinet firewalls and security products
Knowledge of Cyber Security Standards and Best Practices
Knowledge of industry best practices
Skill in:
Networking hardware (switches, routers, WAPs)
Networking protocols
VPN setup and management
SAN management
Skill in adapting to new and changing requirements, environments, and/or information.
Expertise across a broad range of Microsoft Infrastructure Technologies, including but not limited to: current and future Windows Operating Systems, all components of Active Directory , Azure, Collaborative Communications and workspaces.
Expertise in writing Windows Power Shell scripts for automation or maintenance
Expertise in Active Directory Domain Services including Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Sites & Services and supporting infrastructure.
Experience managing Microsoft Office 365 back-end infrastructure including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive for Business
Business writing
Effective written and oral communication sufficient to be able to elicit and communicate information and achieve understanding
Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with customers, vendors, consultants, management, and employees

REQUIREMENTS:
The ideal candidate will have at least eight years of experience in IT systems administration, along with relevant industry certifications such as MCSE or MCSA. A degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, or equivalent hands-on experience is required. This role also requires the ability to work independently, apply sound judgment, and make decisions that align with the needs and priorities of the organization
