Robert Half Project Accountant in Lakewood, Colorado
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Project Accountant to join our team in Lakewood, Colorado. This long-term contract position offers an exciting opportunity to manage financial aspects of projects, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and effective communication across departments. Responsibilities:
• Set up project structures and records in Oracle Cloud, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements and rate structures.
• Monitor budgets, analyze cost trends, and prepare financial performance reports to support project objectives.
• Review subcontractor invoices for accuracy and alignment with project budgets.
• Collaborate with departments such as Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Legal, and Subcontractor teams to resolve billing discrepancies and streamline financial processes.
• Assist with change order documentation and ensure smooth communication between stakeholders.
• Generate ad hoc financial reports, including labor breakage analysis and cost trend evaluations.
• Provide support for Oracle Cloud system transitions, including data cleanup and reconciliation tasks.
• Train team members on system usage and address process gaps to improve operational efficiency.
• Maintain compliance with all margin targets and financial guidelines. Requirements • Proven experience in project accounting, financial analysis, or construction accounting.
• Familiarity with Oracle Cloud or similar financial systems is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Proficiency in tools like Deltek Vision or other project management accounting software.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-department collaboration.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business needs.
• Experience working with construction projects or similar industries is a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to ensure compliance with financial regulations and project guidelines.
