Job Title: Operations Project Coordinator (Backlog & Work Order Management)
Location: Lakewood, CO
Contract Duration: 6-Month Contract
Compensation: $29.00/hr.
Contractor Work Model: Hybrid
The Operations Project Coordinator is responsible for managing and reconciling backlog work orders, ensuring timely and accurate completion of assigned tasks. This role plays a critical part in maintaining operational efficiency by tracking progress, coordinating with internal stakeholders, and resolving outstanding items.
This is an individual contributor role requiring strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to work independently while collaborating across teams.
Key Responsibilities
Review, prioritize, and process backlog work orders to ensure completion
Reconcile outstanding items and ensure all required actions are taken
Track progress using Microsoft Excel, SAP, and internal systems
Communicate with internal stakeholders including HR, compensation, and hiring teams
Collaborate with other coordinators to resolve issues and maintain workflow continuity
Identify and escalate discrepancies or delays as needed
Continuously manage and complete assigned work queues
Typical Day
Reviewing and processing assigned backlog work orders
Updating trackers and monitoring progress in Excel and SAP
Communicating with internal teams to resolve outstanding items
Independently working through task lists while coordinating when necessary
Work Environment & Schedule
Hybrid schedule:
Remote: Monday & Friday
In-office: Tuesday–Thursday
Flexible start times within standard business hours
No overtime or travel required
Collaborative team environment with independent day-to-day work
Required Qualifications
Proficiency in SAP (required)
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, etc.)
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Effective communication and collaboration skills
Experience with work order or backlog management
Background in utilities, energy, or related industries
Customer service experience
Detail-oriented and process-driven
Strong problem-solving and follow-through skills
Comfortable working both independently and cross-functionally
Adaptable and team-oriented
