POSITION SUMMARY

Implements work plans, equipment and process methods for validation to meet the branch product validation

needs to maximize the use of branch validation capabilities. Ensures work schedules and staff are assigned as

needed to meet program validation needs in support of timelines. Coordinate efforts with other labs to meet

program validation needs

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Promote company vision/mission, values and EHS to reporting teams and acknowledge team members evidencing support

  2. Propose and support regional validation methods, equipment, processes, facilities, and services to provide best use of resources that meet requirements.

  3. Work with validation staff members to propose improvements that will reduce validation time, costs or increase throughput using existing resources.

  4. Support development of the validation teams, ensuring global directions are integrated to the regional and branch validation center teams. Continually seeks improvements in the process, tools and engineering methods

  5. Integrate new customer validation needs and processes as needed. Present information to the Validation Team leadership to establish future validation requirements.

  6. Propose new technologies to generate validation cost advantages for the company. Lead to be creative and well versed in validation technology trends. Ensures the use of a proper evaluation and selection process to do this.

  7. Collaborates with cross functional teams to develop validation plans. Perform tests in support of validation plan and provide results to product development teams.

  8. Ensures all needed compliance and audit deliverables are met.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE(

Educational requirements, Certifications:

College Technology degree in mechanical, electronics, or mechatronics

Experience:

• 2 years direct leadership and development of technical staff, with at least 1 year in product validation management.

• Direct cross functional team contact and product delivery to automotive customers .

• Knowledge of automotive customer launch processes (APQP, Phase gate, DVP&R)

• Must be familiar with technical information received such as specifications, test methods, processes, etc.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:

­ Good communications skills, strong organizational skills, able to mentor and inspire all levels of team, strong presentation skills, good problem solving skills

­ technical skills related to creating validation methods, and adapting validation methods to meet changing testing needs.

COMPENSATION:

Salary ranges from $80,000 to $88,,000 based on experience.
