Requirements for employment at Eastview Place Group Home
- Employer conducts Screenings 2.Possess a high school diploma 3.Successfully completing vocational/college education equivalent to 30 semester hours,45 quarter hours or 720 classroom hours in special education, health or rehab services can substitute for having experience in medical, psychiatric nursing or childcare setting or working with persons with developmental disabilities.
- Must have ability to comply with and implement all requirements provided by law and Agency Rule for the provision of services rendered to residents of the facility.
- Must be physically capable of performing duties for which they are responsible.
Must comply with screening requirements
All employees must complete the required training provided online within 90 days of employment including First Aid and CPR completed in a classroom setting.
Eastview Place Group Home is a Residential facility that accommodates adults from age of 18 years who have special needs. The residents are developmentally delayed and sometimes have other diagnosis that contribute to their need to live in the facility e.g. Autism and Downs Syndrome . The setting is a home in a residential area to foster normalcy in the lives of the clients who live there. The tools, equipment, machines or materials used are the same that would be found in any home e.g. vacuum cleaner, stove, washing machine refrigerator, and a generator for emergency lighting. There are clients who require the use of a walker and a shower chair.
