Job Title: Skilled CNC Machinist
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist for a position in Lake Zurich, IL. This role involves operating and setting up a variety of machines to close tolerances. The machinist will perform setups for other operators, input manual data, and make minor program modifications with engineering approval.
Responsibilities
Perform advanced setup operations on CNC machines, including aerospace and new product projects.
Adjust and troubleshoot programming and operate machine tools for complex machining operations.
Setup and run all machines on the production floor.
Train others on machine setup and operation.
Measure close tolerances and train others, acting as a Certified First Piece Inspector.
Ensure accurate production quantity entry in the ERP system.
Input job data accurately according to MBP MMS requirements.
Measure parts per inspection requirements using various gaging and metrology equipment.
Participate in team activities and be recognized as a 'go-to' person.
Essential Skills
2-5 years of experience with Okuma Multus, setting up programs with low volume and high mix.
Experience in Lathe with different brands and ability to perform setups.
Advanced blueprint reading and understanding of GD&T.
Knowledge of ferrous and/or non-ferrous materials.
Strong mechanical aptitude and proper measuring techniques.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Basic computer skills including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of basic mathematics.

Work Environment
This position requires working on-site during the 2nd shift from 4pm to 2:30am, Monday through Thursday. The facility is temperature-controlled, very clean, well-lit, and equipped with new machinery.

This is a Permanent position based out of Lake Zurich, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $83200.00/yr.
