1st Shift: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM or 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
2nd Shift: 4:00 PM – 2:30 AM (Monday – Thursday)

? About the Role
We are seeking a Skilled Lathe Set‑Up Machinist to perform advanced CNC setups and complex machining to close tolerances. This role is critical to production success and includes training operators, troubleshooting issues, and supporting low‑volume, high‑mix manufacturing , including aerospace and new product work.
✅ Key Responsibilities
Perform advanced CNC setup operations , including aerospace and new product setups
Set up and operate CNC lathes and other machines across the production floor
Call up programs and perform manual data input as required
Adjust, verify, and troubleshoot programs before engaging Engineering
Train operators in machine setup, operation, and inspection techniques
Measure and inspect tight tolerance parts using various gages and metrology tools
Act as a Certified First Piece Inspector and train others on proper measuring methods
Accurately enter production counts and job data into the ERP system
Input job data per MBP MMS requirements
Handle stacking, unloading, and material handling tasks
Communicate effectively with team members and management
Participate in team initiatives and serve as a go‑to resource on the shop floor
? Essential Skills & Experience
3–5 years of experience with Okuma Multus (low volume / high mix setups)
Strong background in CNC Lathe setup across various machine brands
Experience performing setups for other operators
Advanced blueprint reading with strong GD&T knowledge
Proficiency with precision measuring tools and inspection techniques
Knowledge of ferrous and/or non‑ferrous materials
Strong mechanical aptitude
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Basic computer proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint )
➕ Additional Qualifications
Knowledge of basic mathematics
Experience training others on CNC machine operations
Comfortable working independently and supporting team success

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $83200.00/yr.
