Darrah Land Surveying is seeking a full-time office technician for a motivated self-starter that will gain experience in an encouraging and supportive work environment. Darrah Land Surveying PLLC is a Professional Land Surveying firm that has been providing surveying services to Northern New York and the Greater Glens Falls Area since 2006. Darrah Land Surveying, PLLC is a growing land surveying company seeking to hire candidates for the position of Survey Technician. Located in Lake Luzerne, NY, our company provides an opportunity to provide drafting for residential, design and construction surveys. Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities Analyze legal descriptions, easements, boundary surveys and topographical surveys Communicate with Management, Technicians, and Field Crews on a daily basis Research State and County records for maps and deeds of record Draft survey maps using AutoCAD, either Civil 3D or Carlson formats Work both independently and with co-workers on active projects Perform computations to reduce raw survey data for use in production of boundary and topographic Review construction plans and prepare construction computations for field layout Qualifications & Skills 3-5 years minimum of relevant experience required Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Carlson Ability to multitask Land surveying field experience is a plus Ability to interpret/understand construction plans and drawings High school diploma required - Associates degree in Land Surveying or Related Field is preferred.
