KERN VALLEY HEALTHCARE DISTRICT Chief Finance Officer in Lake Isabella, California

FT Chief Finance Officer - Finance Department Salary range $147,458 - $212,340 Duties:

  • Appraises the District's financial position and issues periodic financial and operating reports.
  • Analyzes, consolidates and directs all cost accounting procedures together with other statistical and routine reports.
  • Directs and analyzes studies of general economic, business and financial conditions and their impact on the District's policies and insertions.
  • Managerial oversees the additional functions of Admitting, Materials Management, Health Information management, Environmental Services, and Nutrition Services.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Directs the District's financial planning and accounting practices as well as its relationship with lending institutions, shareholders and the financial community.
  • Oversees and directs treasury, budgeting, audit, tax, accounting, purchasing, real estate and insurance activities for the District.
  • Directs the Controller in providing and directing procedures and systems necessary to maintain proper records and to afford adequate accounting controls and services.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • Requires three to five (3-5) years of prior management experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of accounting, finance, reimbursement, budgeting, credit and collection as relates to healthcare.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in English; both verbal and written.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills and interface professionally, tactfully and respectfully with staff, general public and governmental agencies.
  • Good computer skills with strong knowledge of EXCEL spreadsheet programs required.
