Job Title: Machine Attendant
Job Description
We are seeking dedicated Machine Attendants to join our team in Lake Forest, IL. Our organization supports police and military operations by manufacturing non-lethal projectiles used in training, crowd control, and civil unrest. These projectiles are similar to paintballs filled with pepper spray. As a Machine Attendant, you will be involved in the production of 'Ammo', which includes filling small plastic caps with various materials using a range of machinery, from automated to manual.
Responsibilities
Set up, operate, and load machines for production.
Inspect and pack products to ensure quality standards are met.
Load small plastic parts into machines for processing.
Visually inspect small components for quality assurance.
Ensure smooth operation of both automated and manual machinery.
Essential Skills
Ability to read and follow work instructions in English.
Capability to load small plastic parts into machines.
Proficiency in visually inspecting small components.
Willingness to work two Saturdays per month for overtime.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in manufacturing, quality, or production is advantageous.
Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.
Background in the food or plastics industry is beneficial.

Work Environment
Our production area is equipped with a variety of machines, some fully automated requiring minimal supervision and others that need manual input. Employees enjoy a 30-minute paid lunch break, with slower periods offering informal breaks. The work schedule includes three shifts: 1st (6am-2:30pm), 2nd (2pm-10:30pm), and 3rd (10pm-6:30am). A quality control area and a test shooting range for non-lethal projectiles are part of the facility.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lake Forest, IL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
