Abbott Diagnostics LAC is seeking a Finance Manager to lead Area Consolidation, margin and profitability tracking, and provide direct financial support to Brazil, Canada, and Colombia. Based in Lake Forest, IL or Willis Tower (Chicago, IL) , this role drives key planning cycles and delivers the analytics and insights that enable informed decision‑making across the Area.
We’re looking for a finance professional with strong analytical depth, must be process-oriented and possess a strategic mindset, and have the ability to influence leaders and partner effectively across countries.
What You’ll Work On
Lead Area month‑end close and financial reporting, including consolidation entries, metrics, and executive commentary.
Drive an efficient planning process with clear calendars, milestones, and deliverables for Area and Commercial partners.
Collect, validate, and analyze country‑level data to deliver accurate insights into regional business drivers.
Serve as Area Finance lead and primary country liaison, facilitating weekly touchpoints and performance discussions.
Partner with the Pricing team to lead margin improvement initiatives, savings validation, and customer profitability analysis.
Deliver timely, high‑quality financial insights to support senior leadership review and decision‑making.
Support special projects with Area and BU Finance leadership, proactively driving process improvements.
Lead financial consolidation and oversight of monthly CMR files, ensuring alignment with Commercial Excellence teams.
Ensure full compliance with Abbott Quality System requirements.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU’LL BRING
Experience:
Drive month‑end close, forecasting, and financial consolidation
Deliver insights that shape short‑ and long‑term business decisions
Partner with cross-functional and country teams to elevate performance
Lead process improvements across planning and reporting
Education
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
Requires at least 7 years of relevant and progressive experience in Finance and Accounting.
Must be able to interact with and support senior-level management and to work effectively and independently, cross-functionally and cross-divisionally with various organizations
Must have sound financial analysis and dynamic modeling skills;
Must have strong interpersonal skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills; must possess critical thinking.
Preferred
CPA /MBA preferred
Prefer experience in Commercial, FP&A and / or Business Development.

The base pay for this position is $99,300.00 – $198,700.00. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
