THE ROLE:
Join an award-winning team at one of Orange County's Top Workplaces! Herbalife at Lake Forest has been recognized by the OC Register for our exceptional workplace culture, and we're looking for a dedicated Quality Assurance Inspector to help us maintain our world-class standards.
Be part of something meaningful. As a Quality Assurance Inspector on our 2nd shift (3:00pm - 11:30pm), you'll play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of products that improve lives around the world. Working in a collaborative team environment, you'll be responsible for sampling components, conducting physical testing of in-process materials and finished goods, managing reserve samples, and maintaining essential documentation.
Shift Benefits: Enjoy an additional $0.50 per hour shift differential for all hours worked.
Willing to consider paying somewhere between: $20.00/hr - $24.00/hr.
HOW YOU WOULD CONTRIBUTE
Drive Quality Excellence : Partner with manufacturing and production teams to maintain the highest quality standards and assist with any other duties assigned
Ensure Product Integrity : Perform sampling, line inspections, and documentation review activities of components while adhering to GMPs and SOPs, safeguarding product quality at every step
Lead Compliance Efforts : Partner with leadership to investigate quality issues, identify root causes, and drive meaningful corrective actions that improve processes
Apply Technical Expertise : Conduct organoleptic and physical analyses including brix, pH, LOD, and specific gravity determinations
Make Critical Decisions : Sample and inspect components, determining disposition and authorizing release or rejection as appropriate
Champion Documentation Excellence : Review test results and QA inspection documentation to ensure materials meet stringent specifications
Solve Problems Proactively : Assist in identifying root causes of quality issues and recommend corrective actions as required
Foster Collaboration : Work effectively with cross-functional teams, management, and vendors to resolve challenges
Shape the Future : Contribute to the development of departmental goals and objectives with management

Qualifications
SKILLS AND BACKGROUND REQUIRED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
Essential Skills:
Strong interpersonal and communication abilities (both verbal and written English)
Computer proficiency with solid PC and software experience
Physical capability to lift a minimum of 30lbs
Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively under manufacturing pressures
Excellent problem-solving skills in fast-paced production environments
Required Experience:
Minimum 1 year of QA/QC experience
Working knowledge of cGMP and regulatory guidelines
Understanding of Quality compliance requirements
Familiarity with basic cGMP and QA/QC regulations for food, pharmaceutical, or medical device industries
Knowledge of safe work practices including PPE, allergen control, and proper sample handling/disposal
Bring your problem-solving expertise to a fast-paced production team where quick, effective solutions drive success
Required Education:
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Previous experience in food or dietary supplement manufacturing Quality Assurance
Bachelor's degree in a Technical or Science-related discipline
Better Process Control School Certification
HACCP Certification
ASQ, Six Sigma, or other applicable certifications
Experience with Oracle, Agile, or Master Control systems
Exceptional attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Windows, Word, Excel)
