Job Title: Electromechanical Assembler
Job Description
This role focuses on assembling, integrating, and testing electromechanical and electronic components in a clean manufacturing environment. You will read and interpret blueprints, build and solder printed circuit boards, fabricate and troubleshoot cables and harnesses, and complete detailed documentation to ensure high-quality, reliable assemblies.
Responsibilities
Read and interpret blueprints to understand assembly requirements and specifications.
Assemble electronic components and sub-assemblies from individual parts according to documented procedures and drawings.
Complete all required paperwork and documentation for assembly orders accurately and on time.
Follow established company procedures and quality standards throughout the assembly process.
Perform surface-mount and through-hole soldering on printed circuit boards to create reliable electrical connections.
Trim, clip, crimp, and tin wires and leads to prepare them for assembly and termination.
Properly label finished products to ensure accurate identification and traceability.
Fabricate, test, and troubleshoot electrical cables, harnesses, and electronic components for high-reliability integration.
Build harnesses and cables according to specifications and quality requirements.
Assemble, fabricate, and inspect complex box builds, ensuring all components are correctly installed and secured.
Integrate electrical and mechanical assemblies into complete units using appropriate tools and methods.
Install, mount, fasten, align, and adjust parts, components, wiring, and harnesses to subassemblies and assemblies using hand tools and small power tools.
Operate automatic and semi-automatic machines to position, solder, and clean components on printed circuit boards.
Identify and replace defective components, and repair or overhaul older assemblies as needed to restore proper function.
Essential Skills
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Hands-on experience with electronic assembly, including working with printed circuit boards (PCBs).
Proficiency in surface-mount and through-hole soldering on printed circuit boards.
Skill in trimming, clipping, crimping, and tinning wires and leads.
Experience building and assembling electrical cables and wire harnesses.
Ability to integrate electrical and mechanical assemblies and perform complex box builds.
Proficient use of hand tools and small power tools for assembly, mounting, and adjustment tasks.
Ability to operate automatic and semi-automatic machines used for PCB assembly, soldering, and cleaning.
Experience troubleshooting and repairing electronic components, cables, and harnesses.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to following quality standards and documented procedures.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience working in an electromechanical or electronics manufacturing environment.
Experience in electro-mechanical assembly, including wiring and PCB work.
Familiarity with high-reliability integration of cables, harnesses, and electronic components.
Comfort working from written instructions, assembly documentation, and quality checklists.

Work Environment
This position is based in a very clean manufacturing facility focused on electromechanical and electronic assembly. The standard schedule runs from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. You will work at assembly stations using hand tools, small power tools, soldering equipment, and automatic or semi-automatic machines for PCB assembly and cleaning. The environment emphasizes organization, safety, and adherence to documented procedures and quality standards, with appropriate work attire suitable for a production and assembly setting.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lake Forest, CA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
