Job Title: Assembler
Job Description
This position involves the layout, wiring, and mounting of hydraulics, electronics, and PTOs on custom truck bodies. You will be responsible for setting up and operating machines that cut, bend, saw, and punch steel into custom parts needed for body mounting. Proficiency in using overhead chain hoists, forklifts, handcarts, and various hand and power tools is essential.
Responsibilities
Layout and mount hydraulics, electronics, and PTOs on custom truck bodies.
Operate machines to cut, bend, saw, and punch steel for custom parts.
Utilize overhead chain hoists, forklifts, and handcarts effectively.
Employ hand and power tools for installation tasks.
Essential Skills
Mechanical assembly and wiring expertise.
Proficiency in reading blueprints and understanding fabrication processes.
Experience with installation and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical systems.
Ability to use power and hand tools efficiently.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Six months of experience with heavy installation, preferably on vehicles.
Basic understanding of hydraulics, PTO, frames, pumps, and electrical controls.
Familiarity with basic math for machine setup and operation.
Preferred experience with hand plasma and wire feed welding.
Ability to read work orders and use measuring devices like tape measures, calipers, and micrometers.
Capability to lift, push, and move objects up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand on concrete floors with steel-toed shoes throughout the shift.
Work Environment
The work environment is a large open factory/plant floor with dim lighting due to welding stations. It includes large overhead cranes and offers good ventilation. It is a heavy industrial atmosphere with exposure to grease, oil, heat, humidity, occasionally cramped quarters, and possibly wet conditions. Physical requirements include climbing ladders, using creepers under chassis, and standing on concrete floors with steel-toed shoes.

This is a Contract position based out of LAKE CRYSTAL, MN.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
