These roles are ideal for professionals who are passionate about supporting students’ social, emotional, and behavioral well-being to help them succeed in the classroom and beyond.
Position Details:
Location: Lake County, IL (in-person)
Schedule:
FT: Full-time, PK–2nd
PT: 3 days per week, 3rd–8th, split buildings
Start Date: February 2026
End Date: May 2026
Responsibilities:
Provide school-based social work services to students in alignment with their IEPs and social-emotional goals.
Conduct assessments and develop intervention plans addressing students’ emotional, behavioral, and social needs.
Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to create supportive learning environments.
Deliver individual and group counseling sessions promoting coping strategies, resilience, and positive peer interactions.
Serve as a liaison between home, school, and community resources to ensure comprehensive student support.
Participate in IEP meetings, staff consultations, and professional development initiatives.
Qualifications:
Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School Social Worker (SSW) endorsement.
Experience providing social work services in a school or youth-centered setting.
Strong understanding of child development, behavioral interventions, and trauma-informed practices.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
