Our major pharmaceutical-focused agency is seeking a remote Market Research Manager for a 9 to 12 month assignment. This role supports commercialization and strategy efforts across neuroscience pipeline assets, with a primary focus on migraine. The consultant will lead primary market research initiatives, integrate secondary analytics, and translate insights into clear strategic recommendations. Success in this role requires strong project leadership, executive-level communication, and the ability to guide cross-functional partners through complex business decisions. Work centers on driving data-informed strategy planning, brand insights, market assessments, and competitive intelligence.

The Basics

• Duration:9 to 12 months; covering a maternity leave
• Hours:20 hours per week, typically 4 hours per day, 5 days per week
• Location Requirements:100% remote

Top 3 Required Qualifications

1. Extensive primary market research experience in pharmaceutical or biotech, including qualitative and quantitative methodologies; pipeline experience strongly preferred.
2. Strong client and project management skills, including clear communication, attention to detail, problem solving, and the ability to proactively drive workstreams forward.
3. Exceptional ability to synthesize insights and create visually compelling, executive-ready presentations that tell a cohesive strategic story using primary and secondary data.

Other Qualifications

• Proven experience conducting secondary research and analytics using common biotech data sources, including epidemiology, treatment landscapes, analyst reports, and competitor analysis.
• Ability to analyze real-world claims data.
• Experience supporting brand planning, forecasting, and strategic business questions.
• Strong cross-functional partnering skills and the ability to influence decisions with data-driven insights.
• Bachelors degree required; advanced degree (Masters or PhD) preferred.
• Pharmaceutical or biotech industry experience strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary market research partner for neuroscience pipeline initiatives, providing insight-driven guidance to brand leadership.
• Lead market insights and analytics projects to develop actionable recommendations aligned to key business needs and objectives.
• Frame, prioritize, and address critical brand questions by integrating primary research, secondary analytics, and competitive intelligence.
• Provide insights into current and future market dynamics and proactively identify analytical approaches that support strategic decision-making.
• Lead business intelligence planning and execution, including RFP development, vendor selection, study design, contract management, budget oversight, and management of research partners.
• Manage all aspects of project planning, including timelines, stakeholder coordination, development of conclusions and recommendations, and delivery of interim and final presentations.
• Support continuous brand planning with a deep understanding of market drivers, patient journeys, competition, and opportunities to enhance patient and HCP experience.
• Ensure all market research activities are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with ethical and compliance standards.
