Xylem Junior Project Engineer (Temporary - Maternity Leave) in Lainate, Italy

The Role:
We are looking for a Junior Project Manager to join the WI Transport team. The role supports project planning, execution, and monitoring, working closely with the Installation & Technical Department Manager and cross-functional teams. The position provides technical support on Flygt products and, in specific cases, supports pump selection and TOS preparation for Big Pump solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Support in coordinating with suppliers involved in plant installations
Support in preparing purchase specifications for instrumentation and special accessories
Assistance in managing orders and sub-orders under team guidance
Collaboration with logistics and accounting for proper material handling
Support in managing interactions with customer operational staff during order execution
Support in ensuring compliance with current site safety regulations
Requirements:
Degree in Environmental Engineering or equivalent qualification
Basic knowledge of wastewater and water treatment processes
Proficiency in English
Good written and verbal communication skills
Willingness to work and cooperate within a team
Good organizational skills
Previous experience in a similar role is considered a plus
Knowledge of AutoCAD is considered a plus
