TCI Construction company in the Cleveland area is seeking an experienced Journeyman Carpenter for a direct hire opportunity. This is a long-term, permanent position with a stable company offering competitive pay and consistent work.
Position Overview:
The Journeyman Carpenter will be responsible for performing skilled carpentry work on commercial and/or residential projects. Candidates should be comfortable working independently or as part of a crew and must be able to read blueprints and complete projects with precision.
Responsibilities:
Perform framing, finish carpentry, and general carpentry duties
Install doors, windows, trim, cabinetry, and other structures
Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings
Measure, cut, and assemble materials accurately
Maintain a safe and organized job site
Follow all safety regulations and company procedures
Qualifications:
Journeyman-level carpentry experience (5+ years preferred)
Strong knowledge of construction methods and materials
Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
Reliable transportation
Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various weather conditions
Strong work ethic and attention to detail
Compensation & Benefits:
$28--$35 per hour depending on experience
